Mrs. Baasch was a very special lady, and exceptional educator and mother. She raised four wonderful children and positively impacted the lives of so many young people. I loved her adventuresome spirit and recognition that she had a lot to give, especially in her retirement years.
I got to know Mrs. Baasch because of my friendship with her son and daughter-in-law Debra. She gave me great advice about teaching. She was always welcoming and had a smile on her face and made me feel like family.

Iva will be greatly missed. She was such an inspiration to so many. Her name and JNA's Outdoor School are forever linked. When I came to JNA, I heard the many stories of her unceasing energy and was truly amazed.
Her influence will never die. It will live on in all of us that she has touched either as students or colleagues.

When I married Harold Munson in 1993 Iva became my sister-in-law. I visited her in Ireland and Maryland. She visited us in Sacramento and Kansas, and at numerous other family occasions. She even came to Oklahoma campmeeting with us.
I appreciate her love of flowers, children, animals, and family. She was always kind and could tell a great story. That was a favorite activity when the Munson siblings got together--sitting around telling the old stories. We played games and cooked great Asian food. Great memories! We'll miss Iva.
