Joanne Urban Shue

A small family viewing will be held in Maryland. Funeral services will be much later when she is laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery along side her husband Michael D Shue.

Joanne was born in Reading PA to Viv and Joe Urban on July 23 1941. She graduated Reading High School in 1959, and married Mike in February of 1962 at St Luke’s Lutheran Church in Reading. They traveled and lived many places thanks to her husband’s military service. In her early years, she was a stay at home wife and mother, and volunteered outside the home. In her middle years, she worked as a bank teller at Nashua Trust in NH. Then later, she worked in sales at the Virginia Busch Gardens in their German section. Retirement was hard for her. Even as her health and mobility declined, she wanted to keep busy, and work, and help where she could. She will be missed by all her knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Glenn Urban.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela (Gary Brown), her daughter Renée (Mark Daniel), two granddaughters, Zoe and Hannah Daniel, her cousin Rick Davis, her sister-in-law Dennise Shinn (Mary Wanner) and her niece Lisa Shinn.
