Just a few words to say that Jack will always be in my memory...I've known him all my life and remember us as children playing with Mike (Skipper) around Aunt Laura & Uncle Ferd's yard and the many times we spent at MomMom & PopPop's as well! I'm also so grateful that Jack spent many many hours doing both the DeBoy and Mueller Family histories for all of us to look back on and to share with our children and grandchildren. Over the last few years, I've had the pleasure to spend some time with Jack sharing stories and photos from both our Dads and other family members, along with a few laughs. Jack will be missed ever so much by me and all of us! May God Bless Him. Love, Cousin Pat (Patsy)

I first knew Jack when I worked at the Laboratories Administration of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. When I left there, we would keep in touch at the local dinner meetings of the Maryland Branch of the American Society for Microbiology. We would share stories and laughs. He was a good, honorable man and I was lucky to have known him. We will miss him.

Thoughts and prayers to the family. Jack, thanks for all the memories and shared laughs with the gang.

Jack was my first cousin on my mother's side ... and since he started our generation, I have know him my entire life.

When we were younger - much younger - Aunt Ruth and my mom Dot arranged for us to take turns spending a summer week at the Deboy's. What a treat to spend time with my cousins in their big house. They even had more than one staircase inside! It was the first taste of well water, first time feeding a horse, seeing a giant St Bernard dog and first time climbing a tree house. A summer of first for me. Probably for Jack as well.

This one particular day, Elaine and I were taking a bath and couldn't get the water to shut off. Jack was going to save the day, so he rushed in and cranked that spigot on the old claw foot tub and was able to turn off the water. Jack was definitely a "character" but wonderful nevertheless.

As we grew older, and married a few times, my husband, Mark, had the opportunity to meet Jack at our family reunions. They spoke about many things in typical Jack Mark fashion. During one of their conversations, the topic turned to remarriage. Mark told Jack how lucky he was; "You had 4 wives and I only 1".

Jack ... you will be deeply missed on this earth but we know you are rejoicing in all the company you join.

Love,
Your cousins Nancy and Mark

P.S. Mark and I regret not being able to deliver all our love and hugs to family and friends in person but sharing flu germs is one thing we would like to keep to ourselves.

Jack was my brother-in-law for 42 years. During that time, I got to know a man who was animated by core values: a strong work ethic, a drive toward public service, a belief in personal responsibility and good stewardship of financial resources. He was a fundamentally good man. He was also a character! :-) Strong-willed, driven, and to me - hilarious - even though he did not necessarily mean to amuse me.

Our world is a little less complete now. This hole in the universe will hopefully be filled by the ways his family and friends carry his ideals and memory within our hearts.

God speed John Michael II!
I will miss you!

Love,
Lori
