LAURA LAMBERT (NEE FRYE) Passed away peacefully on May 6, 2021 surrounded by her loving children after a short battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 70. Laura was born in Latrobe, PA and later moved to Beaver PA where she graduated from the Beaver Area High School. She and her late husband Dale S. Lambert, brought into this world their two most cherished gifts in life, son Joshua Lambert and daughter Courtney (Lambert) Stopp. Upon retirement, Laura and Dale moved to Leesburg, FL where they enjoyed many peaceful years in a beautiful home, under the warm sun, and surrounded by dear friends. In addition to her husband Dale, Laura was predeceased by her mother Nancy (Sipe) Bayron, father Harry K. Frye. The oldest of six children, Laura is survived by her sisters Michelle (Greg) Frank, Robin (Frank) Pletz, Janice Jasinski and brothers Chris (Rebecca) Frye and Pat (Laura) Frye. Laura was the proud and loving grandmother of Ethan and Emma Lambert (son and daughter of Josh and daughter in law Anne), and Asa and Anderson Stopp (sons of Courtney and son in law David). In addition to her immediate family, Laura was loved and cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. Laura lived for her family. She loved books and movies, the performing arts, travel, games, the occasional casino, and trivia. After reuniting with her loving husband and parents in heaven, there is no doubt Laura is already matching her wit against Alex Trebek and swooning over Elvis.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in her memory to the Forward Paths Foundation at https://forwardpaths.org/donate/.

An in-person family memorial is planned for 10:00am Friday, May 21, 2021 at Witzke Funeral Homes in Columbia, MD. All others are welcome to join the memorial virtually and share their memories online.

What I remember most about Laura was how effortlessly a quick phone call or a short visit to her house became 6 to 7 hours before you would notice. And it was always time well spent.

Condolences to everyone for this loss, especially Josh and Courtney's families.

Laura, and I became friends when I was in junior high, when I was dating her sister Michelle. Laura was the first person to ever call me sexy Lexy. We showed dogs later on together, the first one a great Afghan Hound, named Topper. My wife, Amy, and I were walking down a street in Beaver, when we saw Laura, and Dale walking towards us with three Afghan Hounds, one them being Topper. Laura and Dale had bought him from a very famous, in that time, Breeder from Chicago. I was smitten, and this encounter led to many times traveling together to dog shows.
Amy, and I spent a lot of time then with Laura, and Dale, talking dogs, and many great card games were played as well.
We lost touch for a bit, but with the magic of FB, reconnected. I’m forever sorry I did not ever make it to Florida to visit. She was a wonderful person, and good friend.

You were always fun to be around. I think we would have been great friends had our husbands actually liked each other. No one would have ever mistaken them for brothers born only 11 months apart. We had a lot in common that we didn't find out until later years. No one would ever doubt the love you had for your 2 beautiful children and your entire family, Laura. Josh and Courtney were your treasures. I'm sure Dale was ready to greet the one he called; "Lovely" Hope they have classic cars in heaven for your two.

Laura was a beautiful soul. When we went to see my Mom and Brady after they moved to Florida, we spent the day at the Villages. It was a beautiful day and her and Dale were just so much fun. We had to keep looking for Brady because he just couldn't keep up. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. But she is home with her Mom and Dad and Dale. Much love to you all, Danny and Tobie

I spent many hours with your family in our youth. All of which are fond memories I will cherish forever. Fry and Boo are eating popcorn and smiling down on us all!

John and I send our sincere love and sympathy to Courtney, Josh, and the entire Lambert family at this sad loss.

Laura (and Dale) were neighbors and good friends of ours in Pennbrooke Fairways and we shared some great times together. I certainly enjoyed the “activist” activities Laura and I were involved in through our LLL (Lovely Liberal Ladies) group. I will miss Laura so much.

I so often reminisce about sitting in the bleachers for so many baseball games. Laura and I and other mother's would cheer on our sons and teammates, sometime making posters and making fun of coaches. What great memories. I have missed our close friendship, waning over the past several years with distance. I pray for peace and comfort from our Lord be with you.
