

Bob is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Cindy) Haspel; their daughter, Ashley Haspel; grandchildren, Austin and Kayla Jolly, and Camden Jones; sisters Ann Carney and Patricia Eskins; and many extended family members.He is predeceased by his parents Lee Roy Haspel and Wilma Jewell Haspel Skinner; brother Troy Lee Haspel; and daughter Cristi Marie Jolly.
Bob was born on November 10, 1956 in Charleston, WV. He was raised in Joes Creek, WV and went to Comfort Grade School. He attended Sherman High School until the tenth grade. Bob was a 1975 graduate of Northwestern Senior High in Hyattsville, MD. He then completed the IBEW Local Union 26 Electrical Apprenticeship School. Bob was an electrician for 27 years before having to retire.
Bob was a dedicated husband, father, and “Pop Pop.” He enjoyed riding his Harley, woodworking, telling jokes and stories, talking on the phone, feeding the bullfrogs and turtles with his grandchildren, watching westerns and the History Channel, fishing, and giving electrical advice. He was known to many as the “Mayor of the neighborhood.” Bob will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 3, 2020 at 11:00am at the Witzke Funeral Home in Columbia, MD. Following the visitation will be a funeral service from 12-1:00p. Burial to follow at Columbia Memorial Park in Clarksville, MD.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Johns Hopkins Hospital Stepping Stones – a transplant patient fund support assistance program for items not covered by insurance. All checks should be made payable to Johns Hopkins University and the memo line should include “Stepping Stones”.
