Rodney Derrin Ward

Rodney Derrin Ward, born on May 9, 1960, in Washington, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away at home on June 27, 2026, surrounded by his family. Rodney met the love of his life, Felicia Diane Ward in college and they married in 1985 and were blessed with four children. Rodney committed his life to Christ at an early age and since has been known for his servant’s heart, generosity, and willingness to invest in others. Above all, he cherished his family, especially his grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Pap-Pap.” He instilled the value of faith, discipline, hard work, respect, and integrity - by being the example each day. Rodney will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, faithful mentor, and joyful jokester whose laughter, singing, teasing, and unforgettable smile brought warmth to everyone he encountered. Rodney leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Felicia; his children, Whitney, Courtney (Brandon), Cameron (Dana), and Tiffany (Daniel); his grandchildren, Daniel, Asher, and Teagan; his sister, Ira (Kip); his brothers, Donald and Gerald; his mother-in-law, Lula; his sister-in-law, Paula; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. Church, 5901 Cedar Fern Ct, Columbia, MD 21044, on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 11:00 am.
