On November 12, 2013, Roy G. Parker died peacefully after fighting a rare cancer called Synovial Sarcoma for two years. Roy at the age of 38, worked for the City of Baltimore, Department of Transportation for 8 years, he leaves a 5 year old son (Traeqwan), devoted parents Roy & Elaine Parker, two sisters, Gwendolyn Parker & Deneen Hooker, brother-in-law Wendell Hooker, and many relatives & friends.
Family will receive friends at the Witzke Funeral Homes, Inc., 5555 Twin Knolls Road, Columbia, MD 21045 on Friday, Nov. 22 from 6 to 9 pm and at the church on Saturday from 10 to 11am. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Nov 23, 11am at the First Baptist Church of Guilford, 7504 Oakland Mills Road, Columbia, MD 21046.
