Shirley M. Treu

Shirley M. Treu, 86, passed away peacefully on Sept. 10, 2010, in Columbia, Maryland. Beloved wife of the late John A. Treu and beloved mother of her children. Mrs. Treu devoted her life to her husband and surviving six children; Joanne Davis of Columbia, Maryland; Diane Oles of Guilford, Conecticut; Susan Brower of Gainesville, Florida: Janet Wampler of Kemah, Texas; Mary Andrews of Kissimmee, Floida; and, John A. Treu, Jr. of Longwood, Florida. She leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Remembered for her twinkling blue eyes and ready smile, Mrs. Treu enjoyed reading, golf,sewing, and cooking. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Treu and her husband, a corperate executive with Mobil Oil Company, and their family lived in New Jersey, Connecticut, Texas, Georgia and Florida. She and her husband also lived in London, England and Stavanger, Norway. Mrs. Treu resided in Columbia, Maryland during the last 16 years of her life.
