Stephanie was born in Warren, Michigan to James and Kathleen (Stoutenberg) Spoutz. She was raised from a young age by her mother and adopted father, John Strable. She worked as a desktop publisher at GP Strategies Corporation, where she met her husband Fred. She was a devoted and loving mother to her beloved children Emily and Rebecca. While putting her career and education on hold to raise her children, she instilled in them her passion for education, arts and music, as well as her sense of humor.
After relocating to Maryland, she completed her AA degree and LPN certification at Howard Community College in 2020. Her care and compassion for others was apparent in her work as a nurse at Sava Senior Care and Silverman Treatment Solutions.
Stephanie was the most generous, compassionate, kind and caring person. She truly believed that the actions of one person could change the world and demonstrated this by how she showed up in her life every day, ultimately becoming a caring nurse for senior residents and patients recovering from substance abuse. Her home was a loving refuge and safe space for many. From a young age, she was a tireless and dedicated worker. She was environmentally conscious in her lifestyle, rescued innumerable animals and insects, and was active in political campaigns that work to make positive change in the world. Stephanie was vibrant and always in motion. She was always working to improve something for her family, friends, in her home and garden and in the wider world.
Stephanie will be deeply missed by her husband Fred and children Emily and Becca. She is also survived by her parents James and Kathleen, her sister Lynn, her brother Brian, her nephews Brennan and Joshua, and her nieces Emma and Alexandra.
Stephanie will be greatly missed by numerous other relatives, colleagues and many loving friends.
