

Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, and Friend
Steven Eric Josephson, 64, passed away on September 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Steven lived a life grounded in kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Carly, and their two sons, Noah and Seth, who were the pride and joy of his life. He looked forward to every second he could spend with them.
Steven is also lovingly remembered by his siblings: Jenny Johnston, Julie Meredith, Bruce Adas, and Jerine Carter; his sister-in-law, Chris Miller; and many extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Rick Adas.
Steve was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army. He had a lifelong passion for running and participated in numerous marathons and running events. Although recently retired as a special educator, Steve always loved every child he worked with over the years and loved to be silly and make everyone smile. Many who know him said he had the patience of a saint.
Steven’s life was a testament to quiet resilience, thoughtful wisdom, calm disposition, and deep compassion for others. He always was finding small ways to let the people in his life know that he loved them.
Whether through his work, his friendships, or his family, he left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
