Sylvester Thomas Banks Jr., 78, beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Banks, passed June 8, 2013 in Columbia, MD. Born August 13, 1934 in Baltimore, MD, a son to the late Doris and Sylvester T. Banks Sr. He attended Morgan State College before entering the United States Air Force as a Medical Service Specialist. Before retiring, Mr. Banks dedicated 30+ years as a Surgical Assistant at Howard County General Hospital.
He is survived by his son Renard Banks (Jackie), daughter Renae Ross (Chris), and grandchildren Melanie, Renard II, and Micah.
Family will receive friends at Witzke Funeral Homes, Inc., 5555 Twin Knolls Rd., Columbia, MD 21045 on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 6800 Oakland Mills Rd., Columbia, MD 21045 on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery.
