One holiday, my Great Aunt Vel and I actually sat there doing a puzzle together. I will truly miss her and she will always be in my heart. She won’t be coming to thanksgiving or Christmas dinner physically but she will be there mentally.

It's a sad day, having to say goodbye to such a beautiful soul. I know that Vel touched every one of us in a special way. She had of heart of gold. Knowing that she doesn't have to struggle anymore, we need to find peace in that, as we have another angel to look out for us. God rest your beautiful soul Vel Palphy. I love you my dear. Thank you for being my friend. Until we meet again<3

We bowled with Vel for many years. She is the kindest person you would ever want to meet. She made sure that she always brought a birthday card for you to celebrate your birthday. I remember asking how she always remembered everyone's birthday and she said " A calendar"!

We are so fortunate to have a set of wine glasses and salt and pepper shakers that Vel made for us. She will always be remembered for the beautiful person that she was to many.

I met Vel at Singer Link when she was still single. She sat on the other side of the stairwell and sneezed one day. Anyone who knew Vel, knew she had a very loud sneeze. We use to joke about our initials being VW and MG like the cars. We stayed many a Friday night playing poker on the Apple computer. That is until she met Bob. You will be missed my old friend.
