Allene was born on February 9, 1931 in Hartsburg the daughter of Walter Bledsoe and Daisy (Arnold) Bledsoe.
She graduated from Ashland High School and began her career as an office professional. She was employed at Ellis Fischel, University of Missouri, the University of Missouri Medical School and the Columbia Regional Services Center. Allene cared for her mother in her later years. Allene enjoyed raising flowers, quilting, reading and going to garage sales.
Allene is survived by her niece: Brenda (Duane) Ford of Columbia; one nephew: Albert (Cheri) Crump of Rolla; great nieces and nephews: Daisy Batt; Les Ford; James Crump Malinda Crump; Levi Crump; Chris Burnett and Julie Krow. She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings: Della Mae Bledsoe; Ruth Irene Bledsoe; Kenneth Monroe Bledsoe; Walter Lester Bledsoe; Lora Pearl Bledsoe; Ruby Cleo Crump; one nephew: Marvin Burnett and one niece: Ann Driering.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to the Bond’s Chapel in care of the funeral home.
