

On December 29th, 1925, she was born to the late Robert E. Fitzhugh and the later Zada N. (Lamb) Fitzhugh near Calico Rock, AR.
She was united in marriage to William E. Hall on February 2, 1946, in Optimus Park, AR, upon his return from serving as a Mechanical Sergeant in the Army Air Force during World War II. He preceded her in death on November 14, 1988.
During her century of life, Alma experienced the Great Depression and also served her country during World War II working in an ammunition plant. Alma was a devoted wife and mother always putting her family first. Later she did work outside the home as a cook at Fairview School. Alma later accepted a position as a food service worker at Boone Hospital in Columbia and after 25 years she retired. Even after retirement, she never stopped working. She became an active volunteer in the craft room at the Columbia Senior Center where she was known for her quilting skills.. In addition to her love for quilting Alma was an avid gardener and she enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and cooking her family a nice meal. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Alma will be remembered by her family for her kindness, strength and never ending support. She is survived by her children, Brenda Lea Farwell (Raymond), Randy Alan Hall (Debbie), and Karen Sue Bryson; brother, Howard Fitzhugh (Joyce); nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 4 siblings.
