Born Barbro Anna-Lill Nilsson, on February 21, 1939, in Gothenburg, Sweden. She carried the strength and grace of her Scandinavian roots throughout her life, eventually making her home in the United States, where she built a life filled with love, purpose, and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James Thomas Barrett to whom she was married for 46 years prior to his passing. Barbro worked as a medical technologist, a career that reflected her interest in science and precision.
She was the beloved mother to four children: Salli Madole, Bob Barrett, Annika Lunceford, and Nina Davolt. Her family was an important part of her world, and her legacy lives on through them—in their values, their laughter, and the memories they carry.
She will be remembered for her strength, her resilience, and the love she gave to those around her.
