Betty Jean Coleman

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 10:00am -11:00am at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO. Celebration of Life service will be on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Betty was born in Columbia, MO to Ambrose and Gertrude Hathman. She attended Hickman High School. Betty worked in the family restaurant, Ambrose’s Café and Jefferson Jr. High School. Betty dedicated much of her personal time to her family and friends. Betty was dearly loved and respected by everyone she encountered.

Survivors include: two sons, Ron Coleman (Kim) and Mike Coleman (Tawanda); two brothers, Ambrose Hathman Jr and Bobby Hathman; one sister, Pricilla Crane; grandchildren, Hali Coleman, Chris Coleman and Justin Coleman and great grandchildren, Olivia, Paloma, Brandon, Evan and soon to arrive, Tristin.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Odell Coleman, four sisters, Mertle, Madeline, Maryetta and Lerlene.

Betty’s brilliant smile and laugh will be missed by all.
