Mrs. Beverly Pearl Steuerwald

Beverly was born on March 14th, 1934 in Clear Lake, Iowa to her parents Fred and Ethel Hill. She was the youngest of 7 children.

Beverly married Darrel Steuerwald, on April 11th, 1951 in Clear Lake, Iowa. Bev and Darrel raised four children; Barbara (Barb), Doug, Deborah (Deb), and Dan. She was a devoted mother and a fierce advocate for her children. Bev enjoyed her family and loved to spoil her granddaughter and great grandchildren.

Bev retired from the University of Missouri Hospital after managing the Candy Counter successfully for several years. During her free time, Bev was busy with crafts, sewing, gardening, and canning. Bev was a long time member of the Community United Methodist Church in Columbia where she attended regularly until she was no longer able to do so.

Beverly was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, and three of her four children - Barb, Doug, and Deb. She is survived by her son Dan Steuerwald (wife Jamie), granddaughter Ashley Thompson (husband Nic) as well two great grandchildren Levi and Kaylee Thompson. Beverly’s cat Missy (age 20) now resides with Dan and Jamie Steuerwald.

There will be a graveside service for Beverly at 10:00am on Friday, July 10th, 2026 at Memorial Park Cemetery located at 1217 Business Loop 70 W in Columbia MO, 65202.

In lieu of flowers, Bev’s family requests donations be made to Columbia Second Chance (P.O. Box 10186 Columbia, MO 65205).

Beverly will be missed by all who knew her and she will live on through her family.
