Billy Cox

Billy Cox, aged 85, from Columbia, Missouri, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024. Born on October 4, 1938, Billy was the cherished child of Gentle and Lottie (Adams) Cox. His career spanned over 40 years at the Columbia Orthopedic group, where he served as a dedicated physician's assistant until retirement. He exhibited unwavering support for the Missouri Tigers, proudly displaying an extensive collection of team memorabilia.

Billy is survived by his four children: Linda Cox, Kimberly Cox, Rebecca Cox, and Travis Cox, alongside their mother, Joyce Cox. He is also fondly remembered by his siblings Linda Stewart (William), Sarah Jackson, and Thomas Cox (Julie). Additionally, he leaves behind his honorary son, Dale Sheley, and a large extended family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation for Billy on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will follow at 2:00 PM on the same day, with a graveside service to conclude the proceedings. Attendees are encouraged to honor Billy's memory by wearing their Missouri Tigers attire throughout the day.
