

Carolyn V. Gruber, 78, of Montgomery City, MO passed away on November 10, 2020. She was born on September 6, 1942 in Mexico, MO where she lived on a farm and had many lively antics with her siblings. She graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, MO. Carolyn was married to James Gruber on December 26, 1959. They enjoyed dancing, bowling and the company of many friends. She spent most of her adult life in Columbia, MO where she raised her family and worked for Schnucks grocery store as a bookkeeper. She was an active member of the D.A.R. for the past 15 years.
Carolyn is survived in death by her 4 children, Danny & wife Karlene Gruber of Hallsville, MO, Angela & husband Gary Procee of Montgomery City, MO, Carole & husband Nathan Davis of Montgomery City, MO, & Wayne & wife Anita Gruber of Fulton, MO; sister, Denise Lenk & husband Mike; along with 5 grandchildren, Ginger Weseloh & husband Chris, Brandi Mccaskill & husband Wayne, Caleb Davis, Jacob Davis & Emma Davis; 2 step-granddaughters, Ashley McGrath & husband Doug, & Kameka Stiers. She also leaves 2 great-grandsons, Davis & Howie Weseloh, and numerous beloved family & friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph L. Saylor & Helen V. Llewelyn, siblings Francis Calvin, Mary Kilburn, Ralph Saylor and husband James Gruber.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:00 am. Both will be held at Mineola Baptist Church in Mineola, MO with Rev. Jim Cline presiding. Burial will be private for the family.
Carolyn was a friend to all that knew her and will be greatly missed.
