Carolyn Yvonne Maxwell

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia, MO. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert Calvin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Carolyn was born on January 25, 1943 in Boone County, MO the daughter of Harold and Marjorie (Kearney) Wilson who preceded her in death. She was married on June 29, 1963 , south of Columbia, MO to Charles Maxwell. She worked for LaCrosse Lumber for 13 years and then went on to work for Broad Building Company where she later retired. Carolyn enjoyed gardening, crafting, making Christmas ornaments and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by many family and friends.

Survivors include: her husband of 55 years, Charles Maxwell of Columbia, MO; one son, James Maxwell (Julie) of Rocheport, MO; daughter-in-law, Mary Maxwell of Rocheport, MO; four grandchildren, Julie Wundrack (Billy), Megan Bontrager (Leon), Cody Maxwell and Seth Maxwell (Natalie); three great grandchildren, Eli Bontrager, Colton Wundrack, Brantley Wundrack and a great granddaughter that will be here in September. She was also preceded in death by one son, Wayne Bartlett Maxwell and one brother, Gary Wilson.
