Charles Dysart Coleman, 86, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away October 26, 2026. Born November 15, 1939, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, he was the son of Madge Mae (Redman) Coleman and Wortley Hillman Coleman.
Charlie lived the kind of life that made room for both steady work and a well-timed laugh—someone who could be counted on, who showed up, and who somehow made the day a little lighter just by being in it. Beloved by many and devoted to those he held close, he carried a loyal spirit that was felt in the thoughtful ways he cared for others.
Charlie married Nancy Coleman on December 18, 1998, in Fulton, Missouri. They shared many loving years together until Nancy’s passing in 2017. Charlie was immensely proud of his family and took great pride in raising his children, always looking for a reason to show them off.
A hard-working man with a selfless streak, Charlie had a long list of interests and a knack for finding joy in the everyday. He loved restoring old tractors and was something of a collector himself. He enjoyed canning, hay baling, and field plowing and was an experienced and skilled brickmason—work that suited his steady hands and practical know-how. And when it was time to set the work aside, he was happiest spending time with friends, dancing, listening to all sorts of different music, and was always down for a good time, as he lived up to his nickname "Good-Time Charlie"
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Coleman; his brother, Dewayne Coleman (Mary Dee); his sisters, Judy Coose (Richard) and Erma Pauly (Terry); and his brother, Dan Coleman (Marsha). He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter Cari Robertson (Troy).
He is survived by his children: Rocky Coleman (Jeanne), Garth Coleman (Cherie), Blake Coleman, Holly Anderson, Racheal Sutton, Stuart Coleman. He is also survived by his siblings: Larry Coleman, and Diane Watson (Willy).
Charlie is further survived by his grandchildren: Tawnie Vandeloect (Lucas), Megan Berhorst (Josh), Kelly Junuzagic (Mahir), Katy Warren (Jake), Amy Kallenbach (Tyler), Hope Goodnight (Gus), Grace Allison (Tyler), Luke Anderson, Blake Cossey, Cooper Sutton, Lexi Sutton, and Payton Coleman; and by 12 great grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life for Charlie on Saturday, October 31 at the Millersburg Lions Club from 12pm-4pm. Please come as you are.
In the stories told over coffee, in the familiar sound of music that makes you want to dance, and in the pride of a family he cherished so deeply, Charlie’s presence will continue—warm and remembered with a smile.
