

Clarence “Woody” Lee Woodard, 91, of Columbia, MO passed away, Monday, June 9th at his home. Visitation will be Friday, June 13th, from 12-2pm at Memorial Funeral Home 1217 Business Loop 70 West Columbia, MO. Everyone is encourage to dress casually. A private, family, graveside service will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Clarence was born June 3rd, 1934, to Gladys and Allie Woodard in California, Missouri. He attended Highland School, which was a one room schoolhouse for grades 1 to 8. He attended 3 years at California High school, dropping out to work on a farm where he harvested hay and corn. He later worked at a leather jacket factory, GM, and a construction company. He went to Colorado to go to Telegraphy school, only to find out the railroad would no longer be using Telegraphy. He chose to lay track between Jefferson City and Kansas City for the same company for two years. He then moved to Columbia and worked for a heating company for two years. Clarence's uncle Eddie started his own Heating and Air company for which he was employed for over 16 years. In June 1975, Clarence and his wife Jane started their own business, Accurate Heating and Cooling. They retired in 1999, and Jim Gerhart took over the business, for which Clarence was very thankful and proud. His favorite things in life were hunting, fishing, trapping, and watching his family grow. Clarence would like to thank all his friends, customers and employees.

He is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Jane Woodard; children, Letitia Woodard, Crystal (Adam) Kendrick, Pam (Dave) Nutt, Brenda Arisman; grandchildren, Clint Moreno, Cassie (Tyler) Helgoth, Kindra (Victor) Valencia, Cameron Nutt, Jess (Alyssa) Howery, Tucker (Val) Woodard, Hunter Arisman, Alyssa Kendrick, Austin Kendrick; siblings, Richard (Marie) Woodard, Ruth Hohman, Heather (Jamie) Bearup and Holly (Bryan) Nielsen; and his first wife, Dorothy Rau. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deb Moreno and his parents, Allie J Woodard and Gladys Woodard.
