

Darla Harbour, 61, of Columbia, Missouri passed away Sunday, August 6. She was born in Columbia, Missouri on May 14, 1962. Darla graduated from Hickman High School. She was married to David Harbour on May 13, 1982.
Darla worked for Kinder Care and Shelter Insurance. Her passion was childcare having provided care for several children including some of her own grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband David Harbour; father James (Jim) Kunze; children David Harbour (Jessica), Danielle Ehler (Brandon), and Kari Harbour; grandchildren Briana Harbour, Katie Harbour, Haley Harbour, Emma Harbour, Russell Ehler and Amelia Ehler; her siblings Denny Kunze (Doris) and Denise Hensley. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gaye Kunze and her brother Donald (Alan) Kunze.
Darla was an amazing mother to her children as well as an amazing grandmother to her grandchildren. She always put others before herself and made sure everyone around her was taken care of. She was always grateful for the things she had in life and never focused on the things she didn’t have. Her husband said it best when he said he married the Queen of Hearts, not the Queen of Diamonds.
Darla brought joy and laughter to everyone around her and had a big heart. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is with her best friend again, her mother. Her family will continue to make her grandchildren laugh in her honor and share all the incredible memories they made with her. Darla will be forever missed and will live in the hearts of those who loved her.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 followed by services on Wednesday, August 16 at Memorial Funeral Home.
