

She was born on January 5, 1955, in Columbia, Missouri, to the late Thomas Frank Heisler and the late Betty Jean (Chipley) Heisler.
Debra enjoyed traveling, taking day trips, camping, exploring backroads, and listening to country music. She was a talented quilter and also enjoyed painting, woodburning, crocheting, and other crafts. Her family described her as a cast iron, feisty, sassy, and full of life. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Kenny Fairchild; her daughter, Christina Turner (Alvin Sheard Jr.); her siblings, Linda Coleman (Harold), Mike Heisler, and Rita Holly (David); grandchildren, Kristopher Reasons, Jonathon Turner (Christine); and her great grandchildren, Damian Reasons, Loretta Turner, Elsie Turner, Natalie Reasons, and Remington Turner.
In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by her brother, James Leon Schmidt, and her brother-in-law, Harold Coleman.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO 65202. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
