Donald Wheelock Hawley, Jr. 74, of Sanibel, Florida passed away at The Neighborhoods by TigerPlace Thursday August 12, 2021. A Gathering of Friends will take place at 11:00 AM, Friday August 20, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home.
Donald was born, December 24, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Donald Wheelock Hawley, Sr. and Christine Cannon Hawley. His life and adventures took him to New Canaan, CT to New York City to Hilton Head, SC and ultimately to Sanibel, FL. On March 26, 1993 he was united in marriage to Leann Hudnell, a native Columbian, who survives.
Donald was an avid gardener and he specialized in raising orchids.
Survivors include his wife, Leann and one sister, Donna Hawley Boettiger of Dallas, TX.
