Donna Marie McCart, 62, of Columbia passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014. Donna was born in Wichita, Kansas to Laurence and Wanda McCart. Donna was married to Mansour Hatef in August 1982, he survives. In addition to a loving husband, Donna and Mansour adopted his sister more than 20 years ago, Layla Hatef. She was a great joy and sense of pride for Donna. Donna is survived by her brothers, Don McCart of Houston and Dan McCart of New Jersey. Donna was particularly attached to her nieces, Laura McCart Krishna of the Colony, Texas, Samantha Sublette of Chicago, Jennifer McCart Murtha of New York; and nephews, Tyler Martin McCart of Houston and Sean McCart of Florida. Donna worked as a registered nurse at Columbia Regional Hospital for 24 years. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home, with services following. Interment will be at Halstead Cemetery in Halstead, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to American Cancer Society.
