Doris J. DeRyke, 91, of Columbia passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025 at Villas at Blue Ridge Nursing Facility. She was born on October 14, 1934 in Washington D.C. to Mary and Kainer Raynor. She married her beloved Dale DeRyke May 21,1988 in North Carolina. Dale preceded her in death in 2004.
Doris was a long-time member of Liberty Baptist Church in Columbia.
She is survived by her children Randy Murray (Wendy) of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Kathy (Bob) Davis of Stoutsville, Mo, Brenda Winchester of Sanford, NC, stepsons David DeRyke (Juanita) of San Antonio and Dennis (Marie-Laure) of San Francisco, grandchildren Tommy Maness, Lisa Maness, Chad Erwin, Sarah Hall, Cameron Murray, and Olivia Murray, Scott Sasser, Rob Sasser, Bevenida, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson, 2 sisters Wanda Johnson and JoAnn Sasnett, and brothers Donald Raynor, Doug Raynor, and Larry Raynor. She was preceded in death by her parents. Her son Prather May Murray, Jr. passed away in February 2025.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 1-2pm at Memorial Funeral Home 1217 Business Loop 70 West Columbia, MO. Funeral Service will begin at 2pm, followed by burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
