Funeral services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia on June 10, 2014 at 10 a.m., burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 9 at Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Neal was born August 26, 1925 on the Dry Cedar River outside Ericson, NE. Doynne grew up on a farm near Hancock, IA and graduated from Woodward High School. Upon moving to Columbia, she was employed at Miller’s Bookstore, Artcraft Press, Kelly Press, and Beltone.
She was preceded in death by husband, Bill Neal, parents Oscar & Annie Simon, and two brothers, Rex and Clifford Simon. Survivors include daughter Marta Mougin; granddaughter Anne French; two great-grandchildren, Juliette and Charlie; two brothers, Bill Simon of Columbia, MO and Delbert Simon of Rockford, IL; many loving nieces and nephews; and several friends, including Freda Martz and Mary Dewey of Columbia, MO.
