Ellen had a heart of gold! Always wanted to be busy, if it was baking, chatting, singing, or reading a book. She sure loved children's books! I'll never forget our baking sessions. She and I made cinnamon rolls several times. Filled up my kitchen with the best smells. Taught me to use potato water in my bread recipes. Makes the breads moist! We always enjoyed potato soup and wine on those days. We'd sing in the choir together at Assumption church. My favorite was singing "The Beautiful Mother" duet with her at Christmas time. She'd sing soprano and I'd sing alto. I must say it was quite beautiful! One of my favorite Christmas songs and memories. I'll never forget you!! Our Lord has called you home. You will be missed, but now there is no pain or suffering.
Love, Cindy Scheer
