I was working at Lenoir when Esther & John became members of the community. She was the loveliest lady with the nicest smile. All the staff members adored her. May the wonderful memories you have of this good woman be a comfort to each of you, now and in the days ahead.

Dear Cheryl, Beth Jon and families -

We are so sorry for your loss but rejoice in the fact that your mom and dad are reunited.

We have been blessed by their and your friendship through the last 50 plus years - we are thankful for your family’s friendship through the years.

Esther always had such an uplifting and positive attitude, as well as a strong faith. I remember her always watching out for Mike, Lori and I as kids. She was a great role model for so many of us

It was wonderful for my folks when your mom and Dad moved back to Columbia. In later years at Lenoir, it was always so nice to go and visit with Esther. It meant a great deal to Mom to visit her - she loved to take her a new stash of Russel Stover’s!. She was a very dear friend to Mom.

May God hold you close during your time of loss.

With love and prayers - Lisa Chastain

Where do I start. The Bowen's were our neighbors in Parkade Subdivision in Columbia. Esther and John have known us since I was a baby. They were as close to family as you can get and we loved them very much. Esther was a great mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be missed dearly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
