Visitation will be on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Olivet Christian Church, 1991 S Olivet Rd, Columbia, MO. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm at the church with Rev. Wesley Knight officiating. Private graveside services will be held in Missouri State Veteran Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO with full military honors.
Frank was born in Jacksonville, FL on September 3, 1959 the son of Raymond and Melanie (Warwick) Classens who preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, retiring after 21 years of service as a recruiter. Frank went on to work for the United States Department Agriculture (USDA) and also worked as a finance manager, salesman, and General manager for local car dealerships in Columbia, MO. On August 21, 1981 in Marquette, MI, he married Tammy Coffman and they had three children. Frank enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family and was very proud of his two grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Tammy Classens of the home; his three children, Tim Classens (Krysta) of Columbia, MO, Jason Classens (Tegan) of Tampa, FL and Amber Chick (Ehrich) of Columbia, MO; two grandchildren, Easton Chick and Atley Classens; two sisters, Anne Horn of Bloomingdale, GA and Ellen Jones (James) of Hilton Head Island, SC; two brothers, Michael Classens of Statesboro, GA and John Classens (Belinda) of Statesboro, GA; Uncle, John Warwick (Mimi); three sisters-in-law, Kim Jordan (Dean Miller), Lana Kuball (Dave) and Jill Coffman and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Tara Harrod.
