Gary was a loving father, son, brother and uncle. Gary enjoyed being outside hunting mushrooms and looking for arrowheads and fishing. He loved to play cards and watch Cardinals baseball. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his parents, Jimmy and Linda Skaggs; daughter, Lacy Skaggs; son, Gary Skaggs, Jr; step son, Randall “Cole” Grossclose; sister, Tammy Skaggs; his longtime companion, Kelli Skaggs and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Everett Standage and Lillie Markum; paternal grandparents, Willard and Bessie Skaggs and one great niece Leaha Skaggs.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, April 17, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior, from 11:00-1:00 pm. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.
