Georgetta M. Herschel, 80, of Columbia, passed away Friday December 18, 2015 at Boone Hospital Center. Funeral services will be at 2:00 Monday December 21, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70W, Columbia, MO, with visitation one hour prior to service.
Georgetta was born May 3, 1935, in Paris, MO to Ray and Grace Colbert Davis. On August 30, 1975 she married Robert Herschel, who preceded her in death. Georgetta was also preceded in death by one step-daughter Donna Fitzwater. Georgetta is survived by one sister Ruby Miller of Calgary, Alberta. Survivors also include one step-daughter Phyllis Jarman and husband James of Columbia, MO along with several nieces and nephews, cousins, and “grandchildren”.
Georgetta worked in her early life in clerical work for Shelter Insurance Company. Georgetta was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and photography. Georgetta's first love was her relationship with God.
