Ronnie Ronimous, 95, of Columbia, MO, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Ashland Villa in Ashland, MO. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Thursday, October 22nd followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am, both at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we ask for your understanding and cooperation in our efforts to keep our families and staff safe. Masks are required inside the building and social distancing is enforced. Please be prepared to be directed by staff when you arrive for visitations and services.
Ronnie was born August 3, 1925 in Harrisburg, MO, the son of Charles C. and Nina Brooksie Forbis Ronimous. On September 6, 1950 in Rawlins, WY he married Ina Sue Sapp. He served with the US Army in WWII and was stationed in the Philippines. While in Wyoming, he worked for the rail road. They would later move to St. Joseph, MO where they resided for 55 years, and he worked as an Over the Road Truck Driver. They moved to Columbia to be closer to family.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ina Sue; siblings, Ann Foley of Harrisburg, Marvin Ronimous of TX, and Carolyn Hann of Hawaii; and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sara McMahan.
