James William Fuller, 82, of Columbia passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. A visitation will take place from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 25, 2021 with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. both at Memorial Funeral Home.
James was born on April 4, 1939 in Johnson County, Missouri the son of Reuben Fuller and Marjorie (Pitinger) Fuller. He attended school in Knob Knoster after which he found work as a truck driver. He served his country in the US Army where he belonged to B Battery and drove Hawk missiles all over Germany. He had a Holsom Bread Truck Route in the Wellsville/ Montgomery City area. for over thirty years. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoyed being outdoors- mowing the yard, boating on the lake and traveling in his RV. He enjoyed woodworking and helping anyone who had a project going and needed a second set of hands.
James is survived by his two daughters: Chantelle Fuller of Columbia; Missy (Tim) Rippeto of Centralia; two grandchildren: Cory Rippeto; Cassidy (Jeffrey) Baker; one great grandchild: Layla Brooke; three sisters: Janet (Cullen) Scott of Blue Springs: Sherry Wessing of Pilot Grove; Sharon Reynolds of Warrensburg; and extended family including Tim & Greg Fuller of Boonville and a host of cousins; nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made to The American Legion Riders of Columbia. The donations will be given to The Legacy fund.
