Jeanette Decker, 82, of Columbia, MO passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in Columbia. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am on Wednesday, August 12th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 903 Bernadette Drive Columbia, MO 65203 followed by burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 West Columbia, MO. Friends may gather at the Knights of Columbus Hall 2525 N Stadium Blvd Columbia, MO 65202 following the burial for visitation and reception.
Jeanette was born in Hermann, MO on October 6, 1943, to Bill and Opal Beckman Glatz. Their family moved to Mexico, MO where she attended St. Brendan’s Catholic School and was a 1961 graduate from Mexico High School. She met Bob Decker in Mexico, and they were married in there in 1963. She worked for several years for MFA, now Shelter Insurance, before moving careers to Square-D. She worked there for fifteen years in the payroll department before her health led to her retirement. As a young woman, she enjoyed being outdoors, swimming and spending time at the lake. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and playing with her dogs, Shadow and Luna.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bob Decker; a daughter, Robin Franklin of Columbia; a son Brent (Vickie) Decker of Smithville; granddaughters, Hannah & Avery Decker and Lily Dailey; siblings, Judy (Larry) Atterberry and Kenny (Annette) Glatz all of Columbia, many nieces and nephews and a loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
