

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 6 at Memorial Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, at St. Thomas More Newman Center. A 1:30pm graveside service with military honors will follow at Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery, Jacksonville.
Jerry was born February 17, 1945 in Columbia to the late Joseph and Rosa Mary Meyer Salmon. He was proceeded in death by 4 brothers and 6 sisters. Jerry was married to his loving wife of 31 years Karen Hollender Salmon on March 31, 1984. Jerry is survived by his wife, his four children, Bryon Salmon (Pam), Tammy Wilson (Jay), Sarah Caldwell, Matthew Salmon(Kris) all of Columbia; five siblings, Clara Ninemire, Mary Ninemire, both of Spokane Washington, Rose Jean Bennett of Columbia, and Nina Neckerman (David) of Pilot Grove; nine grandchildren, Tony Burkhart, Timothy Burkhart (Tia), Reid Wilson, Brayden Stallons, Kristi Wilson, Steven Smith, Brooke Salmon, Jayden Holley and Ryan Salmon. Jerry served in US Army. “Bonz” retired from the University of Missouri, and worked as a Master Plumber. He enjoyed listening to music, fishing, mushroom hunting and being with family and friends. Bonz liked things in place, had a great sense of humor, was kind and generous and will be missed by all who knew him.
