

Kathy was born on July 6, 1949, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Angelina and George Brizich, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jim Rabadan, and her loving children, Michael (Katie) and Jake Rabadan. She was the cherished younger sister of Jeanne (Lou) and Cheryl (Robert), and a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Throughout her remarkable life, Kathy touched the lives of many through her passion for healthcare. She dedicated 51 years of her life as a Registered Nurse, serving communities in New Jersey, California, Rhode Island, Missouri, and Massachusetts. Her commitment to nursing was not only a profession but a calling, exemplified by her tireless efforts to provide comfort and care to those in need.
At the age of 22, Kathy embarked on a journey with the Peace Corps, where she volunteered her time to teach. Her altruistic spirit led her to Brazil, where she served as a midwife for two years, bringing new life into the world with compassion and grace. Kathy's commitment to service extended beyond borders, as she also volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician for two years in New Jersey, showcasing her dedication to saving lives and serving her community. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and selflessness will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. Kathy will be dearly missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kathy’s family will receive friends and family from 3-4pm on Saturday, June 15th at Memorial Funeral Home/Columbia. A celebration of life service will follow at 4pm, during this time friends will be invited to share brief stories.
