It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved brother, father, grandfather, and friend, Keith Fisher, 70, of Fulton, Missouri, who left this world too soon on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at his home.
Born May 11, 1955, in Boone County, Missouri, to Glenn Ray Fisher and Rexine (Crane) Gebhardt, Keith lived a full and hardworking life rooted in family, honesty, and simple joys. A proud graduate of Hickman High School’s Class of 1974, Keith built a life through dedication and determination. He spent much of his career as a heavy equipment operator, a trade he not only mastered but took great pride in.
Keith was a man of heart and grit, and his passions reflected that. He was, in every sense, a “racing man”—a diehard NASCAR fan who could talk engines and lap times for hours. He loved the roar of the track and the thrill of the race. He found joy in motorcycle shows and unforgettable motorcycle rides. And in the stillness of Missouri woods, Keith found peace in hunting deer and turkey—another of his many beloved pastimes.
Above all else, Keith loved his family. He was a cherished brother to Genice Fisher of Fulton and Lisa Fisher of Union. He is survived by his daughters, Candace Smith (Shane) and Kristin Fisher, both of Centralia, MO; one grandson. He is also survived by his stepsister, Jacquelin Keller of Kansas City; nieces Courtney Oyer and Monica Henderson; and a host of extended family and friends who deeply miss him.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Fisher and Rexine Gebhardt, grandparents, four uncles, one aunt, and his stepfather, Larry Gebhardt.
Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at the visitation which will be Friday, September 12, 2025, 12:00 p.m.- 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Columbia, MO. Services honoring and celebrating Keith’s life will follow at 1:00 p.m. Committal prayers and inurnment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Columbia, MO.
