Maggie Luette Crane, 91, of Ashland passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Fulton Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be Friday, September 17, 2021 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Maggie was born, March 13, 1930 in Boone County, the daughter of Cloid Calvin and Chloe (Glascock) Calvin. On July 10, 1948 in Ashland, she was united in marriage to Buford Allen Crane, who preceded her in death. She was employed at the University of Missouri for over twenty years. She enjoyed reading and knitting. In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing with her husband and listening to him as he played music in his band.
Maggie is survived by two children, Keith ( Michelle) A. Crane and Karen (Robbie) Johnson; grandchildren, Jennifer Hiatte, Jason A. Johnson, Amanda Crane, and Ryan Crane; five great grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn Bennett; sisters in law, Shirley Calvin, Kay (Dale) Stone, and Esther (Skeeter) Tiffany; and brother in law, Frankie (Belva) Crane. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Eldon and Jimmy; and one son, Kevin K. Crane.
Memorials may be made to Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
