Mariah M. Loriston, age 6, of Columbia, MO, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014 in Columbia. She was born on September 27, 2008, in Columbia, MO, the daughter of Kendra Richardson and Pierre Loriston.
Mariah was an easy going, always loving, energetic, old soul. It was clear early on that she was placed here by no other than our divine Lord, for a defined purpose; to bring smiles and warm hearts. Mariah loved to begin her days with pancakes and orange juice, grab some hotdogs, no bun and cut up, and orange juice for lunch, and ONLY cheese pizza and orange juice for dinner. Mariah was most content playing with her Thomas the Train track from her father or watching old time scooby-doo cartoons with her mother. Mariah enjoyed and talked frequently about spending time with her step-sister Zyair, cousins Greggory, Ahmir, and her best friend Jyrese. Mariah always fancied herself a dancer and a singer. Any chance she got she would dance for you; hip hop, ballroom and her most favorite, interpretive dance. Every time she was in the car the radio had to be turned down so that everyone could hear her made up song. Despite all her adventures in life, her favorite thing to do was to remind you that she loves you more than her toys, ice cream or even pizza. A pure blessing for all of us who had the chance to see how bright her light shined.
Survivors include her parents, Pierre Loriston and Kendra Richardson; maternal grandparents, Patricia Greene and William Richardson; paternal grandparents, Marie Loriston and Louisy Loriston; aunts and uncles, Jhimmy Loriston, David Greene, Wodin Montour, Althea Richardson;
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 407 East Broadway. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to The Epilepsy Foundation.
