Mark Ryan Alexander

Mark Ryan Alexander, 31, of Columbia, MO passed away Monday, June 30th in Columbia with his family by his side. A Celebration of Life will be held August 2, 2025, at Bennett Spring State Park. Mark was born, August 29, 1993, in Columbia to Gary and Sandy Burg Alexander. Mark continued his education after graduating from Hallsville High School in 2012, earning an associate degree and completing certification as a Surgical Technologist. He was man who liked to help people, serving as a member of Missouri Task Force 1 with FEMA Urban Search and Rescue, a volunteer fireman, and an organ donor. He was also a strongly religious man, attending Generations Cowboy Church in Hallsville, choosing to be baptized at Forum Christian Church on January 16, 2013, and recently becoming an Ordained Minister with Life Church Ministries. He was also an avid fisherman and loved to spend time at Bennet Springs fly fishing for trout.

Mark is survived by his son, Chase Alexander; siblings, John Alexander of Columbia and Sharon (Andrew Roberts) Graf of Auxvasse; parents, Gary and Sandy Alexander of Columbia; a girlfriend, Grace Haarmann of Columbia; aunt Nancy (Bill) Martin; uncles, Rodney Moore, Danny Burg and Eddie (Julie) Burg; nieces and nephews, Hailie, Nathan, and Kaleb Alexander; and Luther, Kiara, Davina, and Tobias Roberts, many friends and a loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, aunt Phyllis Moore, and uncle Buddy Burg.
