

Marlon was born August 31, 1966 in Columbia to Thomas and Diana Acton Nunes. He worked several years as an overnight cook for the local Shoney’s. He also worked in construction with his family where he learned his carpentry skills. He worked many years as a self-employed carpenter, doing flooring, roofing, and siding. He was a hard worker and continued to work until his health no longer allowed him to do so. He enjoyed hunting for arrowheads, amassing a large and unique collection. He kept and gave away many pieces over his lifetime. He enjoyed fishing local ponds and lakes and hunting for mushrooms. He was known for his jokes and making people laugh. Most of all, he loved to spend time with the kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his sons, Anthony and Andrew Nunes of Columbia and their mother, Monica Walters; sisters, Laura Auberlin & Tonya Nunes of Columbia; grandkids, Rosaleigh and Amaryllis “Millie” Nunes; his mother, Diana Aldez; and his father, Thomas Nunes; several nieces and nephews and a loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his, brothers, Thomas “Duner” Nunes & Ronald “Rocky” Nunes.
