

Mary Ann was born on September 1, 1937, in St. Louis, MO the only daughter of August E. Weymann and Martha Norma Elsie (Hellwig) Weymann. She was a baptized child of God and a member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.
She was united in marriage to William Karl Attebery, Jr. on June 20, 1959, for 55 years. He proceeded her in death on July 28, 2014.
Mary Ann graduated as a Registered Nurse (RN) from Evangelical Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, St. Louis, MO in 1958. She was employed as an RN in varied health care capacities throughout her career until her retirement from Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Mary Ann enjoyed animals of all kinds. She bred show dogs for many years and loved riding horses on trail rides with family. She loved God and her Lutheran faith and was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. She was most recently a member of Crowell's Chapel Lutheran Church in Shelbyville TN.
Mary Ann Attebery is survived by her three children, a daughter, Cynthia Marie (Attebery) King of Knoxville TN; two sons, David Karl Attebery and his wife Sherrie Lynn (Salmons) Attebery of Kingdom City MO, and Michael John Attebery of Shelbyville, TN. She has one living foster daughter, Gail Simms of Columbia, MO and a sister-in-law Janet (Attebery) Wuczynski who lives in Ocala, FL. She has four living grandchildren, Jason King of Plattsburg, NY, Bethany King of Los Angeles, CA, Katie Wu of Knoxville, TN, and Andrew Attebery of Overland Park, KS. She has one grandson, Aaron Attebery of O'Fallon, MO who preceded her in death on April 4, 2024. She also has four great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Konner Wu of Knoxville, TN, and Lyle and Kip King of Plattsburg, NY.
Services will be Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia MO.
