Mary grew up and remained in Columbia. She attended Sacred Heart, Jeff Jr., Hickman High School and the University of Missouri. She was a respiratory therapist and worked at St. Mary's hospital, Columbia Regional Hospital and Kilgore's Sleep Center.
In the last six years, Mary spent as much time as possible with her grandson, whom she adored. She loved to travel with friends and family, recently parasailing and skydiving for the first time.
She is survived by her son, Michael; grandson, Devan; mother, Margaret Lister; sister, Polly Kleinman; sister, Elizabeth Lister; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and many friends. She is preceded in death by her father, John Lister. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home,Thursday, July 24, from 4:30-630 p.m. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Hospice Compassus.
