Nancy was born October 20, 1942, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to Alvin and Stasia (Drog) Gavlik. At a young age, her family relocated to Nebraska, where she attended Boone County District 37 and graduated from St. Edward High School in 1960. After graduation, Nancy moved to Columbus, NE and worked for Dale Electronics for eight years.
She was united in marriage to Donald Delozier on May 2, 1964, in Columbus. Nancy relocated with her family to Arlington, Texas, in 1968 and then to Columbia, Missouri, in 1973. She was a devoted homemaker before beginning her career with General Telephone Company (now Verizon) in 1978. She retired in 2002 after twenty-four years of dedicated service.
Nancy was known for her warm smile, generous heart, and joyful spirit. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures – reading, gardening, and the many family vacations and camping trips that became cherished traditions. Nancy also had a deep appreciation for family history and devoted countless hours to genealogy, ensuring that stories of generations past would be preserved. More than anything, she treasured time with her family and friends. Their laughter, milestones, and simply their presence were her greatest joy and the center of her life.
Nancy is survived by her four children: Tammy (Eric) Wetzel of Cottontown, TN; Cristal (Greg) Dunkin of Spickard, MO; Lisa (Rob) Lammers of Hartsburg, MO; and Mark (Wendy) Delozier of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Govlik of Arlington, TX; six grandchildren, Erica (Preston) Mock, Alicia Wetzel, Logan and Makenzie Dunkin, Blake and Kylee Lammers; two great-grandchildren, Camden Mock and Stetson Dunkin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, Lawrence and Edward Gavlik.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, Missouri.
