Norma Sue Brookshire

Visitation will be on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia, MO. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Korff and Rev. Michael Drews. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Norma was born July 8, 1933, in Columbia, MO the daughter of John H. & Sally (Toalson) Pemberton who preceded her in death. She was married on February 14, 1991 in Miami, OK to Ronald “Ronnie” Brookshire who survives of the home. Norma was a member of the Harrisburg Baptist Church. She gave her life to Christ and was baptized in 1998 at New Salem Baptist Church in Ashland.

Other survivors include: three daughters - Brenda West (Kenny) of Hallsville, MO, Pam Thomas (Jerry) of Ashland, MO, Susan Talley (Bruce) of Auxvasse, MO; one step-daughter Kim Hodge (Todd) of Salem, MO; two sisters, Shirley Lawson (R.G.) of Hallsville, MO and Judy Hibbs of Mesa, Arizona; 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Darrel Pemberton; two sons, Howard and Robert Lyons; and two grandchildren, Cara Cooper and Duane Lyons.
