Wayne was a family friend before I was a thought. He was a classmate of my mother ( Susan Bradley) I grew up hearing “ your tv broke take it to Wayne he’ll fix it”. Several years later I met Wayne at an event where multiple musicians were invited, not knowing I was one of them . He played bass and was spectacular. I introduced myself and he knew who I was and where I came from! I complimented his playing as he did mine, and became new old friends instantly! I adored Wayne, whom will remain forever in my heart, thoughts, and prayers! P.S. he hated working on tvs”

From the very first time I met Wayne about 3 or 4 years ago, I felt like there was an instant friendship. He had the great ability to put people instantly at ease and make you feel like he had known you for years. I had taken a bass into the shop to get some work done on it. I had bought the bass new in the 70's and had never trusted anyone else to work on it. He had come highly recommended from some fellow church musicians. I needn't have worried. I ask him if he could have it ready in a couple of weeks for a recording session. It had some rather extensive work that needed to be done but he didn't hesitate and said, it'll be ready. It was and the bass preformed flawlessly. He was a great gear tech and an even better friend. I will miss him and pray for his family.

Wayne was my boss, my mentor, and my friend. When I left teaching and moved to Columbia, MO, Wayne hired me to assist him with sales and service, along side his son Jason, at Professional Sound and Lighting, LLC. Wayne gave me a start in Columbia and taught me a lot about instrumemt repair, great tone, and a love for Fender instruments and tube amps. Wayne was a great boss and he taught me a whole world of instrument tech and how to give guitars and instruments TLC. Wayne loved God, his family and was a great friend to all.

At PSL, Wayne and Jason made me, my wife and kids, feel like we were part of his family. Wayne knew not a stranger and truly cared for and loved everyone he met. The sentiment was mutual, as everyone who met Wayne Brown knew he was an instrument repair genius and would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need.

The world will miss the small man with a huge heart. The Shulls will miss ya, "Roy". God Bless and grant peace to the whole Brown family.
