

Patricia Ann Zielinski, 73, of Columbia, MO passed away Thursday, May 26th. A memorial service will be held at 11:30am, Saturday, June 4th at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia, with a visitation from 10:30-11:30am.
Patricia was born November 4, 1948 in Dayton, OH to George and Ruth Brown Barnes. She was a 1966 graduate of Jackson High School in Jackson, TN, and attended nursing school there. On August 17, 1969 she married Paul Albert Zielinski; he preceded her in death on March 21, 2017. In 1978 they moved to Columbia, MO where she was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest entered school. She took a job with the University of Missouri where she worked several years as a Student Loan Advisor. She enjoyed playing piano and bowling, and was skilled in crochet. She also enjoyed watching football, baseball, and NASCAR; and she enjoyed playing along with Jeopardy.
She is survived by three children, Mike (Stephanie) Zielinski of Holts Summit, Chris (Debbie) Zielinski of Columbia, and Lori (Rob) Matheney of Columbia; grandchildren, Cameron & Chloe Zielinski, Moriah, Kalea, & Olivia Zielinksi, Kayla & Heidi Lee, and Trent Kelley, Secley Kennedy, Andrew, Madison, & Mackenzie Matheney; and great-grandchildren, Aniayah Rainey, Brayden & Brinley Matheney, and Bristol Kennedy; brother, George Barnes of Wilmington, NC; nephews, Matt Ward and Alex Barnes, and her beloved cat Zoe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; sister, Kris Barnes; and her parents.
