I am so sad to read this, even though Peggy & family and I shared so much back in the late 1960’s and early 1970 and not as much in recent years, she has always been a sweet inspiration to me in many ways. So many years and stories.... she was my babysitter, neighbor, and friend. I knew her mother Mable and her sister Jewel and several others from St Francois Co, Missouri so many years back. God bless you each❤️

Peggy and Charles opened their home to me while I was a student at University of Missouri in the late 1970s. She feed me many Sunday night meals after we had attended church together on Sunday night. Their house was always filled with love and laughter.

Peggy was a very dear Christian sister. She and Charles and their family were some of the original members of the Columbia Free Will Baptist Church. During the 8 years that I was their pastor, I saw dozens of guest enjoy Peggy and Charles' cooking and hospitality. She was our son, Steve's Sunday School teacher. People around her felt cheer from a joyful heart.
